You know, like a pirate? With an eye patch?
If he had a peg leg or a hook, you'd never know that he hadn't been raised on the high seas swabbing decks, would you?
Of course, Robert has picked up his brother's buccaneering ways -- but in his own, Dread Pirate Robskers way. Instead of an eye patch, he has a cheek patch.
Avast, ye land-lubbers! All we need is a skull-and-crossbones flag and a plank, and we're ready for some serious pillaging and looting.
Just wanted to give credit to where credit's due - the "I don't know! Something amazing, I guess" is a direct quote from the little tricycle-riding bubblegum-popping kid who sees the main superhero pick up a car in "The Incredibles." So, Edward's a Pixar fan, huh? Good taste. Looking forward to seeing y'all's Halloween pictures - will Robert be participating this year? Will pirates win out over Scottish lads? I am aquiver with anticipation!
ReplyDeleteSorry to burst your anticipatory bubble, Ruth, but we're going with kilts. Perhaps other mothers love their children enough to go to great lengths in terms of costumeage, but I refuse to inconvenience myself unduly for a minor holiday that my boys won't even participate in or understand, anyway. (Call me the Halloween Scrooge, if you must.) We only dress up as an excuse to visit our friends, the Browns. I'll still post pictures, of course, but don't get excited about possible pirates-to-come just yet.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the Pixar reference: you're right! Edward probably has most of the Pixar movies memorized. Notable exceptions are Bug's Life and the first and third installments of Toy Story, which are not the "true," second installment, and are therefore unacceptable.
