Edward's teacher reported the following exchange (I'm paraphrasing, of course, since I wasn't actually there) during class yesterday:
Miss M.: Edward, what is your favorite thing to eat for Thansgiving?
Edward: Pizza!
Miss M: Are you sure that's not just your favorite food? What is your favorite Thanksgiving food?
E: Pizza!
Miss M: You don't eat pizza for Thanksgiving, do you?
E: Yes, I do! My Aunt Shelly makes me pizza for Thanksgiving!
...The pressure's on, Shelly. I hope you don't mind if we arrive with rather specific menu expectations in mind!
I think Edward is on to something! Pizza for Thanksgiving! I am open to trying that. I can't wait to see everyone!
ReplyDeleteI think he is remembering the pizza we had the day after Thanksgiving: no need to make the Thanksgiving meal harder than it already is! We are so excited to see all of you, too!
