Ha! This year, of course, I kept an eager eye on the weather reports starting mid-June, desperately seeking a day whose weather wasn't in the 90s. Wouldn't you know it, Edward's "birthday" trip to the zoo came almost a full month late: when the forecast for last Friday promised 88-degree-weather, we packed up and went. Never mind that it was supposed to storm all day.
Actually, the rain clouds turned out to be quite lovely, as they scared away the crowds: we had many of the exhibits to ourselves, and were only lightly sprinkled on until the very end: the storm broke out as we were on our way to see the lions, who were last on our enjoyable meander through one of our favorite places.
Love the boys' matching shirts! Robert looks so much bigger than Edward as I recall him at that age... Will we be seeing any pictures of you in this blog again, ever? Not that giant bugs aren't fabulous and all.
ReplyDeleteThe thing is, Ruth m'gel, that I'm the only one who takes pictures.
ReplyDeleteOf course, even were that not the case, the answer would be a resolute "no!" No pictures of me on this blog -- or anywhere -- are allowed. Ever.
I'm glad you appreciated the shirts: I can't seem to help myself when it comes to "matchy" clothes.
