It occurred to me that I should consider duct taping the camera to my wrist just to make sure it's nearby on all such occasions when my boys are being impossibly cute and words just aren't enough to convey that cuteness, nor to preserve the memory.
It also occurred to me that I should consider mopping the kitchen floor more frequently, but that's a topic for another post.
Fortunately, not all cute occasions take me completely by surprise: Halloween, for instance, I brought the camera for.
Actually, I took pictures of several Halloween-related events, such as the Choosing of the Pumpkin. We went to a local farm for this pumpkin, and Edward enjoyed petting the dog and climbing into the goat pen.
I wasn't willing to go through the hassle of carving a pumpkin with a hyperactive toddler, but crayons turned out to be an acceptable alternative means of decorating our orange friend:
As for the big night itself, Edward was [typically] difficult about having his picture taken -- he much preferred to chase after the cat, in an unsurprising repeat of last year's Halloween visit to Steve & Shannon Brown -- but the pictures we took are good enough to offer a small idea of how cute we all were in our kilts. I even went the extra mile and gave us sporrans and flashes this year to complete the effect.
What can I say? Whether they're kitties, highland laddies, or just my little floofs, my boys are pretty cute.
Hooray for the return of the Scottish costumes! Cutest shot? I'm torn between Edward on the fence and Edward and Joseph going down the stairs. Nose-picking one also awesome - I would suggest saving it to embarrass him later, but knowing y'all's infamous, inherent invincibility against embarrassment, it's a lost cause.
