Cuterness Not Possible

...Um, seriously peeps? This is the epitome of cuteness:

  1. It is the eptome (Pronunced - ep i tome)

  2. Ok, if I'm going to mispronunce, then I can also mispelle can't I?

  3. Isn't it "pronounced"? And I can't decide which is cuter, the "pewting" sounds or Eddie's sudden epiphany regarding the magic and charm of dandelions. I am curious about Joseph's wish - was it, possibly, that the Edskerpouts would give the camera an overwhelmingly cute smile?

  4. It couldn't be "pronounced", else it would then spoken "correctly". Pronunced forces the mind to twist to make sense of it.
Perhaps epitome, (one of my favorite misprununcements) would be be better shown as \ep-it-'tōme\ (with three syllables, emphasis on the last syllable and long o sound, silent e) rather than the "over used and outdated" form now in common practice of \i-'pi-te-'mē\ with four syllables, emphasis on the second and fourth syllables, long e) After all, you save a syllable - it's always good to have a few on hand for possible use in other creative mispronuncements.
This is the beauty of the english language, which flaunts its individuality when it comes to rules, both verbal and spelling, especially with foreign words. English can be so creative! Witness the word "cuterness" in the title!(which by the way, started the whole thing)

Oh, and yes, Eddie and Joseph (who ever thinks to mention the dad? - this degree of cuterness would not be the same without him) are indeed two cuternenes. Or is it cuternites?

  5. Oh, Ruth, I'm sorry, I meant to assure you that your words "pewting" and Edskerpouts" were duly noted and appreciated as well.

  6. And I must also give creidt where credit is due - you did notice the dad as well.

  7. Richard, I only wish that you been able to lend your skills to answering my OTHER, far more interesting questions :)

It would seem that Kirsti still has much to teach me about Bobospeak and culture. In the meanwhile, I add what I can and improvise on my own style of Millerity, hence the "pewt" and "Edskerpout" interjections.

I vote for cuternites. And eh-PIH-tome. And pronounced - or mispronounced - pronunciation. Mispelle is...cute. Creidt is...not.

  8. Ruth, Well said!
I suspect that Millerity is just as involved and interesting as Bobospeak. I deserve NO credit for "creidt" however, but I find it interesting (almost Freudian) that I made a typo when writing about mispelles. I should have been much more careful, or carefuller, as the case may be. (after all, a purposeful mispronuce, or mispelle, is worthless unless noticed and appreciated by someone else)

I think the sudden epiphany of Eddieloo is cuter, by the way, and that Joseph's likely wish was to make sure he was downwind of the dandelion seeds, but then maybe we (or Kirsti) could encourage him to answer for himself.

  9. Wow! I leave my blog alone for a couple of days, and promptly miss out on all the action! I see we have some serious and thought-provoking debates on ancestral dialectical tradition going on; mostly, however, I just enjoyed reveling in the greatly missed mispronuncements and nicknames.

    What more can I say?
